Software - Machine Learning Engineer 100% Remote (Ford is based out of Dearborn, MI and will prioritize local profiles) Role Overview An opportunity for an AI/ML Engineer to build and operationalize machine learning capabilities in production environment. Focus on model development, deployment, agent-based systems, with emphasis on MLOps. Shape and establish MLOps practices in an evolving technical landscape. Key Responsibilities Build and develop machine learning models using PyTorch, working with real‑time data to solve production‑level problems. Develop and support agent‑based systems within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Collaborate with data engineers on data inputs and pipelines. Support and enhance the broader data and ML ecosystem, including working with prompt engineering. Help operationalize and enable machine learning workflows across the organization. Design and implement Generative AI solutions, focusing on Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. Ensure reliable deployment of AI models using containerization and MLOps practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience focused on Generative AI, Machine Learning, or related AI fields. Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments. Technical Skills Proficiency in Python. Experience with ML model development using PyTorch. Familiarity with deployment and orchestration, preferably with Vertex AI. Understanding of MLOps concepts, including model versioning, monitoring, retraining, and data drift. Experience working in a cloud environment, such as Google Cloud Platform. Preferred Qualifications Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline. Experience with real‑time data processing. Hands‑on experience with agent‑based systems and applied AI. Familiarity with robust API development using frameworks like FastAPI. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay range: $70.00–$85.00 per hour.
