Job Title: Language In Action (LAP) Traveling Facilitator
Location: Various school sites and venue locations.
Job Type: Part-time only
After School: 15 hrs a week, 3 hrs daily (flexibility within the 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM window required )
Pay: $35.00 per hour Mileage: $0.70 a mile
Set Schedule: Monday to Friday & Occasional Saturdays

Summary
The LAP Traveling Facilitator is responsible for delivering engaging language development lessons to English Learners at various elementary, middle, and high school sites throughout Los Angeles. Facilitators provide instruction one day per week at each assigned site (Monday–Thursday) and participate in collaborative team meetings every Friday.
Working under the supervision of the LAP Program Coordinator, facilitators collaborate closely with site liaisons, site coordinators, and fellow team members to ensure high-quality program delivery. This position requires daily travel across the Los Angeles area and flexibility to adapt to school-specific schedules, including early dismissals and events coordinated with Beyond the Bell and EduCare programs.
Shifts typically last 3 hours, and flexibility within the 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM window is essential. Facilitators must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Facilitate engaging, hands-on daily English language development lessons using a structured curriculum that includes (but is not limited to) ice breakers & academic enrichment activities.
● Plan and implement a culminating event during the final session at each school to showcase students’ language development.
● Travel daily to assigned school sites, allowing sufficient time for parking, site check-in, and session setup.
● Accurately and consistently follow all EduCare timekeeping policies.
● Actively recruit students to participate in LAP sessions, field trips, and events to support site-specific attendance goals.
● Assist in administering student surveys related to Quality Standards and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes.
● Maintain detailed and ongoing notes documenting program activities, successes, and challenges.
● Prepare and submit daily administrative reports to the LAP Program Coordinator.
● Comply with all safety protocols, policies, and procedures required by EduCare, the school, and the district.
● Manage and transport all necessary program supplies and technology, including pick-up from the EduCare Main Office or Warehouse as needed.
● Order pizza or other food at the beginning of each session, as required.
● Maintain and submit accurate program documentation, including: Student registration forms, Student sign-in/out sheets, Rosters, Attendance reports, Receipts, Field trip forms, and paperwork
● Collaborate with site staff across multiple school locations and work under the direct supervision of the LAP Program Coordinator.
● Attend all required training sessions, team meetings, and coaching sessions throughout the school year.
● Participate in weekly check-ins (meetings or calls) with the LAP Program Coordinator to support consistent and effective program implementation.
● Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
