Description Provide technical and professional leadership to the Engineering and/or Maintenance department and advise operations inclusive of directing, scheduling/controlling all related activities to achieve an integrated operations business plan. Responsible for the budgeting and execution of maintenance, utilities, and minor capital. Ensure maintainability and reliability of automation systems, equipment, buildings and facilities to achieve a high level of asset preservation at a reduced operating cost. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Responsibilities Drive the Maintenance Excellence process by leading an effective predictive/preventative maintenance (PPM) program through work order procedures, parts inventory, training, scheduling, efficiency improvements, and compliance programsOperate, maintain, and repair all aspects of the automation systemPinpoint electrical, mechanical and PLC (programmable logic controller) fault; analyze and institute recoveryManage the emergency response to automation downtimeDevelop, implement and control the department's budgetsLead people processes in department by guiding, coaching and developing direct reportsRecommend equipment modifications or replacement to improve safety, quality or throughputPerform analysis to determine root cause for the most critical and repetitive failuresCreate and maintain the appropriate engineering records including equipment records and manuals, drawings and diagrams, inspection reports and legal records as required by the appropriate agenciesWork closely with outside agencies such as OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc., to ensure compliance with current regulationsManage all outside contractors and third-party contractors performing any automation maintenance or facility workLead the development and implementation of the 3-Year Minor Capital Plan inclusive of due diligence for project feasibility, preparing capital requests, creating contracts, effective project management and achieving the project deliverablesSupervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportsMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum RequirementsAssociate degree related field or equivalent work experienceAny project management experience4+ years of advanced knowledge/experience of electrical systems1 year of experience in programmable logic circuits (PLC) troubleshooting & repair1 year of experience in Manufacturing processes & plants1 year of experience in Automation operation & maintenanceAmmonia Refrigeration experience2+ years of experience in a leadership role in a maintenance organization5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing or logistics settingProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent oral/written communication skillsExcellent organization, communication and leadership skillsDesired ExperienceBachelor's DegreeAny experience with automated conveyor preventative maintenance & material handling equipmentAny experience working with automated material handling systemsAny proactive maintenance experienceAny experience as a maintenance manager at major facilityStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
