Position Summary:The Receptionist is a key member of our specialty practice, serving as the first point of contact for patients, referring offices, and vendors. This position is responsible for ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while handling administrative duties such as scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and communication with healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced clinical environment.Primary Responsibilities:Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a professional and pleasant first impressionAnswer multi-line phones, direct calls appropriately, and respond to inquiries from patients and referring dental officesSchedule and confirm appointments using medical practice management softwareVerify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointmentsCollect co-pays, balances, and necessary paperwork at check-in and check-outInput and update patient information accurately into the electronic systemCommunicate with referring providers to coordinate patient carePrepare and send patient correspondence, referral letters, and post-visit reportsMaintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and confidentialityAssist with general office tasks such as scanning, faxing, filing, and mail distributionSupport clinical team with patient flow and administrative needs as necessaryEnsure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all timesQualifications:Bachelors DegreeNo prior experience neededExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskProfessional demeanor and a team-oriented attitudeAbility to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
