Store Manager/Team Leader
DescriptionTitle:Team LeaderReports to:District LeaderFunction:Promote store sales and growth through quality leadershipResponsibilities to Store Personnel:Fully train and develop all employeesFully develop an Assistant Team Leader if required in the storeCommunicate and delegate work in an appropriate mannerHold employees accountable for their performance and actionsConduct regularly scheduled store meetingsProvide accurate, timely employee evaluations and feedbackHelp employees establish meaningful goalsFollow up on employee goal progress and provide assistance as neededAccurately and consistently document employee performanceComplete employee paperwork when due (new hire, evaluations, etc.)Send employees to training programs as scheduledEffectively counsel and motivate employees on job related mattersResponsibilities in Loss Prevention and Control Factors:Control of cash and inventory loss through effective managementConduct inventory counts as scheduled and resolve variances immediately(Weekly counts -beer, soft drink, sandwiches. Daily - cigarettes, others as needed)Complete the Inventory Shortage Action Plan as directedMaintain organized, clean, and secure storage areasMaintain and evaluate store tracking charts each dayMaintain open communication with the District LeaderResponsibilities in Completion of Reports and Paperwork:Complete all paperwork on time (daily and other)Make all deposits on time and fax/email copies to the SupportCenterEnsure accuracy in all paperworkMaintain all paperwork in an organized and secure mannerMaintain a professional rapport with Support Center personnelResponsibilities in General Store Operation:Ensure store is open during designated hoursMaintain an adequate and appropriate staffAdhere to contract agreementsMaintain the store and premises in a safe, secure mannerMaintain inventory levels to avoid out-of-stock and overstock situationsComply with all laws, rules, regulations, and policiesComplete assignments as directedResponsibilities to Image:Maintain store image standards each dayEnsure compliance of all employees to the company uniform policyPresent self in a neat, clean, professional mannerSee that employees present themselves in a neat, clean, professional mannerResponsibilities to Sales:Promote suggestive sales through training, example, and reinforcementAdhere to pricing policies and maintain an accurate, current pricebookAchieve sales goalsResponsibilities to Service:Promote the practice of "Greet-Smile-Thank" through training and examplePromote proper use of Empowerment Vouchers by employeesResolve customer complaints in a timely, professional mannerResponsibilities to Profitability:Operate the store in as profitable a manner as possibleAttain margin goalsControl expensesOperate within all budget limitsWork diligently to maintain low levels of employee turnoverResponsibilities to Goal Setting:Maintain personal professional development through effective goal settingSet goals for improved store operation on a regular basisSets realistic, challenging, measurable goalsAchieve personal goals and learn from the attempted goal processFollow up on goals for self and personnel to ensure progressRequired Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics:Able to lift 50 poundsAble to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more)Able to work in a teamWilling to do repetitive workHonestDependableRequirementsWhat We're Looking For...Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMinimum 3-5 years of operational leadership experienceFriendly & OutgoingAbility and desire to self-startAble to effectively communicate verbally and in writingComfort and confidence in working with all levels of an organizationComfort and ability work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
