SENIOR ROADWAY PROJECT MANAGER / ROAD GROUP LEAD
We are seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager/Road Group Lead in Indiana, specifically in Indianapolis or Fort Wayne.
SJCA is a leading civil engineering firm with offices in Indianapolis, Evansville, Washington, and South Bend. We provide professional infrastructure design services to state, municipal, and private sector clients, specializing in transportation design. We are a growing firm with a variety of exciting projects, including high-level interstate roadway projects. The responsibilities of the Senior Roadway Project Manager/Road Group Lead position include coordinating with various disciplines throughout the plan development process, overseeing technicians, and mentoring roadway engineers in their professional development. In this role, the Road Group Lead will play a crucial part in guiding the team and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Job duties include the following:
Assume a leadership role and manage design projects, ensuring coordination among various project design disciplines.
Maintain the utilization of roadway engineering personnel while balancing project demands with opportunities for professional development.
Supervise and mentor junior-level design staff.
Perform project management duties.
Assist in growing the firm, which may include increasing office backlog, expanding the client base, enhancing local service offerings, and/or entering new markets.
Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations with support from the marketing team.
Maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships.
Actively participate in local professional affiliations and encourage team members to do the same.
Requirements for this Position
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
PE License, licensed in Indiana.
At least 15 years of experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production, with familiarity with Indiana DOT details and guidelines.
Prior experience managing a group or department.
