Payroll Specialist

Position: Payroll SpecialistLocation: Tulsa, OKPay: $25/hourExperience: Previous payroll or related experience.Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)Type: Full-time; ContractSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (ability to work OT as needed)ProRecruiters is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!Job DescriptionProcess biweekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timelinessReview, calculate, and validate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and garnishmentsMaintain and reconcile payroll records and general ledger accountsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and tax lawsPrepare and submit payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports (e.g., W 2s, W 3s)Coordinate payroll-related audits and provide documentation as requestedRespond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally and confidentiallyProcess new hires, terminations, pay changes, and benefit deductions in payroll systemsCollaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and reportingSupport month-end and year-end close activities related to payrollMaintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controlsPosition RequirementsWorking knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage complianceProficiency with payroll systems and accounting software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar)Strong Excel and data reconciliation skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilityEffective written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and meet strict deadlinesPreferred QualificationsPayroll certification (e.g., CPP or FPC)Experience with multi-state payrollPrior experience integrating payroll data into general ledger systemsProRecruiters is part of Array Corporation, the leading technology-enabled workforce solutions company whose mission is to fix how work is bought, sold and delivered to enable access to the American Dream.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
