As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm, clear communication, document key observations, and support onsite staff and visitors with respectful customer service. Carry and maintain authorized equipment as assigned for an armed post, following post orders, use-of-force guidance, and all applicable licensing and training requirements. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site. Complete detailed security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations promptly to supervision and site contacts.Minimum Requirements: Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
