Tooling Engineer

Job Title: Tooling EngineerPay Rate: $38 to $40/HRDuration: 6 monthsLocation: El Segundo, CA (Onsite)We are seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing programs by designing tooling, fixtures, jigs, dies, and support equipment used in production and development environments. This role works closely with manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective tooling solutions..Design and develop tooling, fixtures, assembly jigs, and production support equipmentCreate engineering drawings, inspection plans, and validation documentationReview tooling designs for manufacturability and complianceManage tooling projects through procurement and fabricationSupport suppliers and inspect tooling for quality complianceDrive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and safetyRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related STEM field.3+ years of tooling or manufacturing engineering experienceStrong proficiency with NX CAD and/or CATIAStrong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Experience with machine shop, fabrication, and tooling processesStrong communication and project management skillsU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred qualifications:Aerospace or defense manufacturing backgroundExperience with PLM systemsVendor management experienceStress analysis / FEA experienceActive DoD Secret ClearanceProfessional Engineer (PE) License
