LPN 3-11 Shift

Alaris Health at The Atrium - Alaris Health at The Atrium, a 113-bed assisted living in Jersey City, New Jersey, seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide resident care, treatment and services to the residents of the Center, assist in the orientation and supervision of nursing personnel, attend to the unit's daily operations each shift and unit level and assume leadership responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include:assuming an active role in direct resident assessment and careassisting in developing and implementing resident and nursing care planscounting and recording class drugs at the beginning and end of every shiftcommunicating pertinent data to charge nurse, superior and/or physicianproviding residents emotional and physical comfort and ensuring their safetyassisting physicians in making rounds and examining residentssupervising and coordinating nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence with state and federal regulationsLPN JOB REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursingCurrently licensed by the New Jersey State Board of NursingRehabilitative or geriatric nursing experience is preferredPossess manual dexterity to handle instruments and equipment and visual and aural acuity to detect changes in residents' conditionsAbility to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general publicAbility to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary
