This will include becoming an expert of the online tools used to maintain and configure the information systems and software to give the business the greatest use of the system. This position will need to understand our insurance products and master our business workflow in order to provide users with support and provide valuable insight of our policy administration system. In addition, this role will develop client relationships to achieve business objectives, coordinate designs, system validation, and configuration activities across solutions and work streams.A Configuration Analyst is expected to:Work with Boston Mutual teams and vendors to maintain the policy administration systemMaster online system tools such as rules & rates engines, user groups and documents templatesBecome liaison between business teams and development teams to manage system workflowsPlan and execute CM throughout the project lifecycle, including configuration, migration, deployment, and securityCoordinating and directing system configurationsMaintain a current understanding current environments and knowledge of the CM toolsCreate, review, and update existing configuration management plansAnalyze configuration related issues and provide viable solutionsResponsible for managing and troubleshooting the CM environmentPrepare and maintain configuration documentation and plansCoordinate the individual and whole parts of a productPropose viable solutions for issues and continuous improvement itemsPerform daily operational support (Level 2-type troubleshooting)Provide production support, investigation and troubleshooting of technical apps and systemsRemain up to date with current build technologyQualificationEducation:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.Experience:5 + years' experience in implementation and support of integration of information systems in a insurance setting.3 + years' experience in the life insurance industryKnowledge Requirements:Knowledge of various Configuration Management toolsKnowledge of life insurance products and servicesKnowledge of Policy Administration Systems and workflowsKnowledge of creating and managing complex databasesStrong analytical skillsProficiency in Repository managementWell versed in project management, agile mythology and product supportExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical staffDemonstrate exceptional customer service skills in order to exceed customers' expectations and to minimize escalations by taking ownership of customer reported issuesStrong technical expertise with a wide range of technologies.Hybrid Work ModelAt our Canton location, employees will be on site Monday - Thursday.
