Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable ClerkWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our Accounting team in Dallas or Plano, TX. This part-time role is responsible for accurately processing daily customer payments, maintaining financial records, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting accounts receivable operations to ensure timely and accurate cash application.The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple systems while collaborating with internal teams to resolve payment-related questions and maintain financial accuracy.RequirementsProcess and apply customer payments accurately and timely on a daily basisManage accounts receivable transactions with a high level of accuracy, organization, and confidentialityResearch, reconcile, and resolve payment discrepancies to maintain accurate account balancesCoordinate with project managers and internal stakeholders regarding payment activity and account inquiriesMonitor and maintain the Accounts Receivable department email inbox, ensuring timely responses and follow-upMaintain accurate financial documentation and records within internal systemsAssist with payment tracking, account reconciliation, and reporting as neededWork across various financial systems, banking portals, and software platforms to support AR functionsSupport continuous process improvements and documentation of proceduresPerform other duties and special projects as assignedEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred1+ years of accounts receivable, accounting support, bookkeeping, or related administrative experience preferredExperience processing payments or working with banking/payment systems preferredPreferred QualificationsStrong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial processingAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to identify and resolve discrepancies independentlyStrong customer service mindset and ability to work collaboratively across departmentsAbility to document and improve existing processes
