We believe outsourcing can often be avoided by implementing the right technology.About The RoleThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Inside Sales Representative at Thorp Controls in the Denver, Colorado area. The Inside Sales Representative supports the sales organization by managing customer relationships and supporting business development plans, processing quotes and orders, responding to customer inquiries, and collaborating closely with Outside Sales, Vendors, and Operations. This role is critical to delivering seamless customer experience and ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and follow-through throughout the sales process.What You'll DoServe as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and internal systemsAnalyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutionsCreate, process, and follow up on customer quotations in coordination with Outside Sales and VendorsEnter and manage sales orders accurately and efficientlyTrack and communicate order status, lead times, and delivery updates to customersUtilize Thorp CRM and ERP systems to document customer interactions, opportunities, and activitiesSupport Outside Sales by prospecting for new clients, preparing quotes, coordinating pricing, and assisting with account managementDevelop strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teamsMaintain product and vendor knowledge to effectively support customer needsStrive to exceed customer expectations through responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalismQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is requiredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, trade school, or technical education is preferred2+ years of Inside Sales, customer service, or industrial distribution experience preferredExperience in the automation, electrical, or industrial supply industry is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsResults-driven with a customer-first mindsetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a teamTechnology-proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CRM/ERP systems
