Commercial litigation experience is an essential requirement for this role, as our client is not in a position to provide training in this area. Start Date: March 2026Duration: 3 Months Location: White Plains, NYPay Rate: $40 – $50/hourJob DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented experienced (2+ yrs) Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team FULLY ON-SITE in White Plains, New York. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational and litigation skills to support senior attorneys in a dynamic environment. The role involves handling critical paralegal responsibilities while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced legal setting.Responsibilities• Serve as the primary paralegal for senior litigation attorneys, managing all case-related paralegal tasks.• Format, finalize, file, and serve legal documents prepared by attorneys, ensuring accuracy and compliance.• Prepare tables of contents and authorities, conduct cite-checking, and ensure legal documents meet required standards.• Handle e-filing of documents with federal and state courts and prepare courtesy copies for tribunals.• Organize depositions by coordinating court reporters, securing locations, and scheduling participants, while assisting attorneys with deposition materials.• Draft basic legal documents such as subpoenas, discovery demands, and court forms using established templates.• Compile and arrange documents for client meetings, mediations, arbitrations, court conferences, depositions, and trials.• Maintain physical and electronic legal files, ensuring all case-related documents are properly organized and accessible.• Assist with document productions, including organizing files and Bates stamping for efficient case management.• Conduct conflict checks and manage firm mail processing, scanning, and distribution as needed.Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally within a small law firm.• Demonstrated experience in e-filing with federal courts and New York and New Jersey state courts; Pennsylvania state court experience is a plus.• Familiarity with law firm document management and time entry systems; experience with NetDocs and Finance Core is advantageous.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word for document preparation and formatting.• Proficiency in conducting Westlaw searches and cite-checking.• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.• Positive team-oriented attitude and eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment.
