High School English Teacher Trinity Christian School - Sharpsburg, GA Position Summary Trinity Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School English Teacher to join our faculty. This full-time position is responsible for teaching foundational literature and writing skills while guiding students to think critically, communicate effectively and engage texts through a Biblical worldview. The ideal candidate will cultivate a love for reading, writing and thoughtful discussion, helping students see truth, beauty and meaning through the lens of Scripture. Employment DetailsPosition Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PMContract Length: 10 months (August through May) Key ResponsibilitiesTeach English Literature I, focusing on foundational literary analysis, reading comprehension and writing developmentIntegrate a Biblical worldview into literature instruction, encouraging students to evaluate themes, characters, and ideas through the lens of ScriptureDevelop engaging lesson plans that include a variety of literary genres (novels, short stories, poetry, and nonfiction)Instruct students in writing skills, including grammar, composition and analytical writingFoster classroom discussions that promote critical thinking and deep content dialogueAssess student learning through essays, projects, tests and presentationsProvide timely and constructive feedback to support student growthMaintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student progressCollaborate with colleagues and administration to support academic excellence and student developmentParticipate in school events, faculty meetings and professional development opportunitiesSupport the mission and values of Trinity Christian School in all interactions QualificationsBachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related fieldValid teaching certification (or ability to obtain)Prior high school English teaching experience preferredStrong knowledge of literature, writing instruction and grammarCommitment to integrating faith and learning from a Biblical perspectiveExcellent communication, organization and classroom management skillsA personal and active Christian faith consistent with the mission of the school Preferred AttributesAbility to inspire a love for reading and writing in studentsPassion for mentoring and discipling students academically and spirituallyStrong relational skills with students, parents, and colleaguesCreativity in lesson design and instructional strategiesDesire to contribute to a Christ-centered school culture About Trinity Christian School Trinity Christian School is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that equips students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
