Job Description: First Class Facilitator (Years 2-3)Position Title: First Class FacilitatorReports To: Director of New Staff DevelopmentPosition Type: Full-time 12 mos, District-levelJob Goal/PurposeTo provide coordinated, high quality support for early career teachers in their second and third year, fostering continued professional growth, strengthening teaching practice, and promoting retention through effective guidance, collaboration, and professional learning.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTeacher Support and DevelopmentProvide ongoing support and guidance to second- and third-year teachers through on-site coaching, communication, and professional learning opportunities.Facilitate individualized and group support sessions focused on instructional practices, classroom management, student engagement, and professional growth.Assist teachers in analyzing instructional data and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes.Support teachers in goal setting, reflection, and professional growth planning.Build positive relationships with teachers to encourage confidence, resilience, and long-term success in the profession.Professional LearningCoordinate and facilitate professional development sessions aligned to district initiatives and teacher needs.Utilize resources and tools to support instructional effectiveness and teacher growth.Support teachers in understanding district expectations, instructional frameworks, and professional responsibilities.Collaboration and CommunicationMaintain regular communication with the Director of New Staff Development and communicate with district leadership regarding teacher progress and support needs.Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and professional learning communities related to teacher induction and retention.Assist with the coordination and implementation of induction program initiatives and events.Program Monitoring and DocumentationMaintain accurate records of teacher participation, feedback, and support activitiesCollect and analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to induction and teacher support programs.QualificationsValid teaching certificate.Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience preferred.Demonstrated expertise in instructional practices, classroom management, and relationship-building.Experience in mentoring, coaching, or teacher leadership roles preferred.Personal AttributesApproachable, empathetic, solution-focusedBuilds positive relationships and trustInspiring, encouraging, and committed to excellenceAdaptable, proactive, and reflectiveStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of educators and stakeholders.Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing responsibilities and prioritiesPhysical Demands / Work EnvironmentAbility to travel between district campuses as needed.Ability to facilitate training sessions and meetings.Regular use of technology and communication platforms.
