Project Manager

Job Title: Senior Project Manager Duration: 6+ Months (Possibility convert to fulltime) Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote) Key Responsibilities Exercises wide judgment in selecting and developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining appropriate operational, program and initiative objectives. Understands business needs, Develops unique solutions, works with clients, usually senior leadership in addition to their staff to address issues and implement solutions in alignment with strategic goals. Performs the most complex and advanced analysis techniques, understands past performance and determines present and future performance and / or resource allocations. Assesses highly-complex situations. Provides collaborative leadership and consultation, strategic planning, design and facilitation, and high-level project management on multi-faceted problems to achieve strategically aligned solutions. Is the lead facilitator on projects. Applies expert project management concepts with a full understanding of project management practices and procedures to manage complex projects. Has full project management responsibility for assigned projects. Develops detailed project plans and monitors budget and resources. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Oversees the project from inception to delivery. Guides and advises less experienced management consultants and Lean practitioners, delegating assignments and removing obstacles to facilitate getting the work done. Establishes and manages project governance. Leads cross-functional teams to solve complex management related issues. Required Skills:- Has experience as a Project Manager on at least two Kronos and/or UKG Dimensions system implementations. Has expert knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle to lead the assessments, design, and implementation of new technology systems. Expert knowledge of the consulting process to effectively lead highly significant engagements from inception to conclusion. Ability to conceptualize projects, write proposals and draft project plans. Demonstrates superior analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills. Expert knowledge of project management principals, theories and concepts. Ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and vision. More than 10 years of relevant experience and track record of providing project management consulting services. Demonstrates superior strategic-thinking and consulting skills in guiding the organization toward workable strategies and solutions. Highly skilled in navigating organizational complexity. Incorporates excellent change management skills in programs on a regular basis. Demonstrates superior written, verbal and presentation skills for influencing and facilitating sustained change. Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize based on information obtained. Sound judgment, ability to draw unbiased conclusions. Ability to persuade through both logic and appeal to positive motivations. Possesses superior consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to handle multiple constituencies, agendas, engagements and tasks, and to deal productively with ambiguity and conflict. Exceptional facilitation and collaboration skills. Ability to facilitate and influence people at all levels. Demonstrated ability to lead staff with minimal input from supervisor. Ability to establish and manage project governance groups. Knowledge of the organizational environment of higher education and large research universities to understand client priorities, issues, motivations and constraints. Knowledge of Lean Methodology to assess, design and implement organizational improvements. Education: Bachelor's degree in related Organizational Change, Business Administration or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
