Position SummaryResponsible for operating and monitoring various equipment throughout the production process to maintain consistent product quality and minimize unplanned downtime. Collaborate closely with team members and support personnel to ensure efficient, continuous production of high-quality products with minimal waste of time and materials.Main Responsibilities / Essential FunctionsOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment; perform routine and preventive maintenance as required.Collaborate with the shift coordinator and department manager to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.Follow all company and department safety, housekeeping, and environmental policies and procedures; actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives; identify, report, and help eliminate workplace hazards.Support quality assurance efforts and participate in continuous improvement activities.Complete all required training within designated timelines.Operate overhead cranes and forklifts (if certified.)Perform inventory control tasks, including tracking, recording, and material handling.Load and unload materials onto trucks and/or railcars safely and efficiently.Operate process control equipment through Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs.)About You / QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in heavy industry, construction, manufacturing, or a related fieldBasic computer literacy, including the ability to navigate HMIs or similar systemsFundamental mechanical skills and a strong mechanical aptitudeEffective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a teamSupervisory Responsibilities / Direct ReportsThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee will be required to operate or work with the following machines, tools, and workstations:* Equipment/Tools: Cab crane, forklift, hand torch, Hilti gun* Workstations/Areas: Burn bed, overhead crane, pulpit (control station), shipping floorThe employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk as needed. The shift is 12 hours, and the amount of sitting, standing, or walking will vary based on workload.
