Family Medical Center of Michigan has a great opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our patient centered dental team!Family Medical Center of Michigan offers a great work/life balance!No late evenings or weekendsChoose from a 32-hour work week or 40-hour work weekBenefits and Fringe BenefitsHealth, vision, and dental benefits start from day 1 if enrolledInternal School Loan Repayment Program – Up to $500.00 per monthLicense renewal paidThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various dental procedures.This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality dental hygiene services while ensuring their comfort and safety.The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental care practices.DutiesPerform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients of all ages.Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for patient management and documentation.Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures, providing chairside support to the dentist during treatments.Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.Handle medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.Maintain an organized workspace and ensure that all dental instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use.Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experiences and improve overall clinic efficiency.ExperienceCandidates should have prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting, demonstrating proficiency in the following areas:Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.Experience with EMR systems for documentation review and medical coding.Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical environment.QualificationsActive Dental Hygienist Licensure in the state of MichiganCurrent CPR/BLS certificationStrong attention to clinical and administrative detailExcellent communication and patient relations skills with patients of all ageswww.familymedicalmi.orgInquiries to lokorn@familymedical.orgNo recruitersBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTOCompensation:$43-$49/hour
