VP/Director of Finance
DescriptionWe are looking for a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in Reston, Virginia. This role involves a variety of tasks, including month-end close, variance analysis, and cash management, within a non-profit setting. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities Manage the month-end close process efficiently, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Conduct thorough variance analysis to understand the differences between projected and actual financial performance. Prepare and present monthly financial statements, offering detailed insights into the organization's financial status. Lead the audit preparation process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Oversee cash management activities, optimizing cash flow and ensuring the financial stability of the organization. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on time. Utilize Quickbooks Online for financial management and reporting purposes.Requirements Must hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Proven experience in a similar role such as a VP or Director of Finance is essential Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online Experience in conducting Auditing is crucial Must have the ability to prepare and analyze Monthly Financial Statements Proven experience in handling Month End Close and Monthly Variance Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail Demonstrated strategic planning and financial analysis skills Good understanding of data privacy standards and financial regulations Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound financial decisions Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
