This role focuses on designing and guiding enterprise application architecture that supports long‑term business objectives, technology standards, and future growth. As a Senior Enterprise Applications Architect, you’ll work closely with architecture peers, technology leaders, and business stakeholders to define future‑state application ecosystems. You’ll balance strategic vision with practical execution—setting architectural direction, guiding governance, and helping teams adopt secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions across the organization. What You’ll Do Enterprise Application Strategy & Design Contribute to the definition and evolution of enterprise‑wide application architecture, ensuring alignment with overarching technology and business strategy.Design future‑state application models that balance scalability, security, maintainability, and business value. Alignment & Governance Ensure application solutions adhere to approved architectural principles, standards, and long‑term objectives.Establish and maintain reference architectures, architectural patterns, and reusable building blocks to promote consistency and quality. Technology Evaluation & Decision Support Lead or support the assessment of platforms, tools, and vendor solutions, helping teams select technologies that best serve enterprise needs.Provide architectural oversight throughout implementation to ensure solutions remain aligned with intended design. Roadmapping & Capability Planning Identify gaps in application capabilities and define forward‑looking strategies, investment priorities, and multi‑year roadmaps.Partner with leadership to sequence initiatives that deliver incremental and long‑term value. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with business teams, delivery leaders, engineers, and product owners to support strategic initiatives and complex programs.Act as a key architectural advisor across domains and initiatives. Innovation & Emerging Technology Awareness Stay informed on application and platform trends, evaluating where new approaches or tools could add value or reduce risk.Translate relevant innovation into practical architectural guidance. Executive & Stakeholder Communication Clearly articulate architectural concepts, future states, and trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences.Provide concise updates on progress, roadmap status, and architectural decisions to senior leaders. Architecture Practice Leadership Influence and mentor other architects, technology owners, and subject matter experts.Encourage shared standards, collaboration, and consistency across application domains. What You Bring Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).8+ years of experience working in enterprise application architecture, ideally within a large, complex organization. Architectural Expertise Deep understanding of application design patterns, integration approaches, and architectural governance models.Experience defining and enforcing standards, guidelines, and review processes. Technology & Platform Knowledge Hands‑on experience with modern enterprise platforms and ecosystems, such as: Microsoft M365, SharePoint, and AzureERP systemsSaaS and PaaS platformsSalesforce, MuleSoft, and ServiceNow Leadership & Influence Proven ability to lead through influence, guide decision‑making, and drive change across diverse teams.Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and resolving complex trade‑offs. Communication & Collaboration Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across both business and technology functions. Delivery & Methodologies Experience working within Agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery models.Ability to align architecture decisions with delivery realities. Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills Strong critical thinking skills with a pragmatic approach to solution design. Preferred Enhancements Advanced degree (e.g., MBA)Experience in a large professional services or enterprise environmentVendor and partner management experienceExposure to AI frameworks and governance modelsCertifications such as TOGAF or Microsoft AzureProficiency with common productivity and architecture tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)
