The selected candidate will design, develop, integrate, test, and debug advanced networking features for home and business gateway products built on RDK-B platforms.Mandatory Qualifications3+ years of embedded software development experience using C; C++ experience is preferredStrong knowledge of RDK-B, OpenWRT, or prplOS architectureExperience with broadband gateway and extender technologiesHands-on Embedded Linux experience, including kernel-level concepts and system debuggingGood understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, IPv6, and network packet flowExperience with firewall configuration and iptablesWorking experience with Git/GerritFamiliarity with gdb, valgrind, Wireshark, and tcpdumpStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and low-level debugging skillsResponsibilitiesDevelop and integrate embedded software components for gateway and extender productsImplement and enhance parental controls, firewall/iptables, DHCP, SNMP, TR-069/TR-181, and network-management featuresDebug software issues in Embedded Linux environments across kernel and user spaceCollaborate with engineering teams, chipset vendors, and customer-support teamsInvestigate customer issues, optimize system performance, and deliver stable solutionsParticipate in code reviews, unit testing with GTest/GMock, and CI/CD activitiesPreferred QualificationsWi-Fi and IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax experienceKnowledge of DOCSIS, MoCA, and broadband networking technologiesExperience with TR-069/TR-181, SNMP, and remote device-management protocolsExposure to Broadcom, Qualcomm, or other chipset SDKsSecurity knowledge including WPA3, RADIUS, and SSL/TLSExperience with Docker and CI/CD pipelinesPython or Shell scripting for test automationHiring ProcessShortlisted candidates will undergo an initial recruiter screening, technical evaluation, and mandatory in-person meet and greet.
