Land Survey Project ManagerOwn Your Future at PsomasJoin a 100% employee-owned firm built for long-term thinking, shared success, and meaningful impact.As our Land Survey Project Manager for our Survey & Geospatial team in Southern California, you'll step into a leadership role, guiding project delivery, supporting a growing team, and helping expand our surveying and mapping services across complex infrastructure projects.Why PsomasShared Success: An ownership culture that rewards long-term thinking and doing what's right.Retirement Benefits: Company-funded ESOP + 401(k) with immediate match.Hybrid Flexibility: Flexible and hybrid work options that support collaboration and focused work.Career Growth: Structured career pathing, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.People-First Culture: Collaborative teams that value diverse perspectives and invest in your development.Meaningful Work: High-impact projects across utilities, transportation, aviation, and rail.What You'll DoAs a Land Survey Project Manager, you will lead surveying and mapping projects from initiation through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met while mentoring staff and supporting business development efforts.* Project Management & OversightLead project management efforts including scope development, fee proposals, scheduling, and contract negotiations while ensuring successful project delivery.* Business Development & Client EngagementSupport marketing initiatives including proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs while cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships across Southern California.* Technical LeadershipProvide technical oversight and strategic direction across survey projects including transportation design surveys, right-of-way engineering and mapping, construction surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic mapping.* Team Leadership & MentorshipMentor and develop survey staff, CAD drafters, and subconsultants, supporting professional growth and team development.* Project Coordination & CommunicationLead project meetings, manage communication, and ensure alignment between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.Required QualificationsLicensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in California10+ years of progressively responsible land surveying and mapping experience3+ years of project management experienceProficiency with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office, and TeamsFamiliarity with state and county mapping requirementsStrong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skillsCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $150,000 - $175,000 annually (commensurate with experience)Incentives: Discretionary performance bonus programTime Off: 4 weeks PTO plus 8 paid holidaysTotal Rewards: Employer-paid medical (HMO, PPO & HSA), dental, vision, life, and disability coverage for employeesOur Hiring ApproachOur recruiting team reviews every application personally and will keep candidates informed throughout the process.
