Project Engineer - Heavy Civil / HighwayLocation: Charlotte, NCBuild your path to Project Manager on real heavy civil work, with strong pay and project exposure that actually moves your career forward.Must-Haves5+ years on heavy civil, highway, road, bridge, or infrastructure projects.$25M+ project experience preferred.Strong RFI, submittal, cost tracking, and documentation skills.Ability to read plans, specs, and contract documents.Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred. NCDOT or DOT experience a plus.What You'll DoSupport PMs and superintendents on active heavy civil projects. Handle RFIs, submittals, drawings, cost tracking, and project documentation.Assist with forecasts, change orders, and schedule updates. Communicate across owners, subs, vendors, and field teams.Spot issues early and help keep projects on track, on budget, and in compliance.Compensation$105,000 to $125,000 base plus bonus, full benefits, 401(k) with match, and PTO.The Bottom LineReal project exposure, a clear PM career track, and compensation that reflects the work you're actually doing.
