Organization Description Maternal Matters Favored (MMF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing maternal mental health, perinatal wellness, and family stabilization. We provide trauma-informed education, peer support, advocacy, and resource navigation to mothers and families, with a strong focus on equity, access, and community-based care. Board Opportunity Overview Maternal Matters Favored is seeking committed, mission-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors . Board Members play a critical role in providing governance oversight, strategic guidance, and fiduciary leadership to support MMF’s growth, sustainability, and community impact. This is a volunteer, unpaid governance role. For info about our mission, services and more go to: Responsibilities: Attend and participate in meetings on a regular basis and special events as able. Participate on a Committee of the Board Recruit additional volunteers and potential Board Members. Help communicate and promote Favored’s mission and services. Become familiar with Favored’s finances, budget, and financial/resource needs. Understand the policies and procedures of Favored. Financially support Organization in a manner commensurate with one’s ability. Qualifications Organizational leadership and advisement. A passion for community work. Oversight of program planning and evaluation. Review of organizational and programmatic reports. Promotion of the organization. Fundraising, grants and outreach experience.
