Provides instruction on security cooperation concepts, cross-cultural teaching methodology, instructor development, and computer-based training. Reviews student lesson plans and analyzes delivery skills. Cross-trained to support instruction in other disciplines as directed by the Site Manager.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree from an accredited college or universityDeployed as a MSAS Mission Commander/Team Sergeant, Military Advisor, PAS, RAS, FAO, PRT member, attaché, SCO, or equivalent with military advisory experienceExperience in instructor development methods and delivering instruction through computer-based trainingCompleted Air Command and Staff College, Senior NCO Academy, or sister service equivalentMust be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearancePrimary Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide instruction and evaluations on security cooperation concepts including authorities, command relationships, mission planning, execution, and reportingProvide instruction on teaching methodology relative to a cross-cultural environmentTeach subjects including Command Relationships, Risk Management, Security Cooperation, Funding/Legal Authorities, Force Protection Mindset, History of AMC GPF Advising, Theater-Specific Dynamics/US Foreign Policy, Mission Planning and Coordination, US Embassy Operations, Personalizing Lesson Plans, Using Training Aids Effectively, Effective Presentation Skills, and Maintaining Control in the ClassroomReview student lesson plans, analyze student instructor delivery skills, and provide effective feedbackProvide course support including curriculum development/management, course scheduling, and administrationCoordinate and facilitate for Government-provided guest instructors as requiredMonitor student progress through computer-based training programs and coordinate technical supportMaintain satisfactory or above on Government-administered instructor evaluationsSupport cross-training by teaching lessons in other disciplines as directed by the Site ManagerPreferred QualificationsPrevious MSAS deployment as Mission Commander or Team SergeantCCAF instructor methodology course completion (3+ semester hours)Work Environment & ConditionsPrimary location: Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), New Jersey. Contract may transition to other CONUS locations.Normal duty hours: 0730-1630, Monday-Friday. Duty days may extend to 10 hours and include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support mission requirements.Platform instruction normally does not exceed 6 hours per day.May require OCONUS travel to PACOM, EUCOM, SOUTHCOM, AFRICOM, and CENTCOM (non-combat areas) as part of Mobile Training Teams (MTTs).
