Quality Inspector, 2nd Shift

Quality Inspector, Second ShiftA precision machining manufacturer is seeking a Quality Inspector to support second shift first piece, in process, and final inspection on tight tolerance components. This role reads prints, uses standard inspection tools, documents results for traceability, and escalates nonconformances to protect the customer and production flow.What You Will DoPerform first piece, in process, and final inspections to drawings and customer requirementsInterpret prints and inspection plans, including GD and T callouts and datum structuresUse common inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height and bore gages, pin and thread gagesDocument results accurately, including AS9102 first article documentation when requiredIdentify and segregate nonconforming material and support containment and corrective actionsVerify gage calibration status and maintain a clean, organized work areaWhat You Will BringManufacturing experience that includes measurement or inspection responsibilitiesStrong blueprint reading skills and comfort with basic inspection plansWorking knowledge of common measuring tools and shop math conversionsComfort with computer based documentation and data entryPrior inspection experience in a machining environment preferredExposure to ISO 9001 or AS9100 practices preferredCompensation and OpportunityStrong wage with competitive benefitsOpportunity to grow under an experienced Quality Manager at a site with significant expansion plansClose exposure to machining, inspection, and technical customer quality activityAbility to build broad technical experience in a fast paced, multi hat environmentRelocation considered for a strong fitJob ID: 171766 #postBrett Hume
