Position Type:Support Staff/Student SupervisorDate Posted:5/5/2026Location:Lake Forest High SchoolDate Available:08/24/2026Closing Date:06/25/2026Lake Forest High School District 115 is seeking a 10 Month, 7.5 hour/day Student Supervisor.Description:The Student Supervisor supervises students in common areas, manages student attendance in study halls, coordinates with the resource centers to monitor student attendance, and performs daily tasks for the Dean's Office.Starting Rate: $19.50/hrBenefits:Personal and Sick Leave providedReimbursement - up to $1300 annually for tuition reimbursementInsurance - 100% district paid Single HMO Health and Single Dental (other options are also available)Retirement - IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) - the district pays the full district premioum, employees pay the 4.5% employee contributionQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience with office and school-based management systems - preferredEssential Functions:Supervise students in study hallRecord appropriate attendance for the students in study hallFollow up with students if they sign out of study hall to go to another resource centerSupervise common areas and cafeteria as assigned by the Dean's OfficeMonitor parking passes in the senior lotCover for other staff (breaks, lunches, or schedules)Deliver passes and/or notes to students' classesGo to classes to get students if requested by the Dean's OfficeWork with the Deans to issue, track, and follow up on 30 minute detentionsDemonstrate a commitment to professional growth through reflection and collaborationImplement positive behavioral strategies under the direction of the supervisorMaintain confidentiality regarding students matters and report concerning behavior to the DeansPerform other job related duties as assigned by direct supervisorAdhere to Board of Education policies and proceduresCompetencies:Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and positive problem solving attitudeComfortable and pleasant demeanor in busy environmentsAbility to:work under pressurework with speed, attention to detail, consistency, and organizationwork harmoniously, cooperatively, and effectively with all stakeholdersmeet deadlineswork effectively within office and school-based management systemsinitiate and maintain appropriate working relationships with students and staffHelps facilitate student learning in a safe, positive and respectful learning environmentProactive in addressing needs and problem-solvingDemonstrates a commitment to excellence, high expectations and to the academic and personal well-being of all studentsMaintain confidentialityMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all timesPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and lift. Repetitive motions are required. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
