Integration EngineerThe Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting data integrations across enterprise systems, ensuring accurate, reliable, and scalable data exchange between internal and external platforms. This role contributes to the organization's evolution toward modern, API-driven integration architecture. The successful candidate will support both existing Talend-based integrations and the transition to RESTful, API-first integration patterns, aligned with the company's long-term data strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Talend data integration jobs supporting critical business processesSupport system-to-system integrations across platforms such as ERP, CRM, finance, and external partnersDevelop, maintain, and enhance RESTful API integrations, including authentication mechanisms (OAuth, tokens)Maintain and improve file-based integrations (SFTP, flat files, CSV exchange processes)Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across systemsMonitor and support integration operations, including error handling and performance optimizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Data, Business) to gather requirements and deliver solutionsDocument integration architecture, processes, and operational proceduresTroubleshoot issues and take ownership of integration-related incidents end-to-endContribute to the modernization of integration architecture, moving from legacy ETL toward API-first and scalable solutionsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceExperience and familiarity with Talend (Open Studio or similar Talend platform)Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data integration patternsHands-on experience with REST APIs (development or consumption)Knowledge of authentication standards (OAuth, API keys, token-based authentication)Experience with: o File-based integrations (SFTP, CSV, flat files) o Data transformation and mappingSolid knowledge of SQL and relational databasesExperience working in Linux/Unix environments (basic scripting and job execution)Understanding of job scheduling, orchestration, and dependency managementProgramming/scripting experience (e.g., Python)Preferred QualificationsExperience with enterprise integration and middleware platforms, such as: o Boomi (Dell Boomi) o MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) o Apache Kafka (event streaming / real-time integration)Experience integrating enterprise systems such as: o ERP (e.g., QAD or similar) o CRM (e.g., Salesforce APIs) o Finance/expense platforms (e.g., Rydoo or similar)Exposure to middleware architecture and integration frameworksExperience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, etc.)Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time data streamingKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsOwnership mindset with accountability for end-to-end integration processesAbility to work in a global, cross-functional environmentStrong communication skills (technical and business stakeholders)Attention to detail and focus on data accuracy and reliability Success CriteriaReliable and scalable integration processes across enterprise systemsReduction in manual data handling and improved automationImproved monitoring, ownership, and traceability of integrationsProgression toward standardized and modern integration architecture
