Teen Ballet & Jazz Instructor (Part-Time) The Studance Lab | Avondale, AZ Pay: $20–$40 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Mondays, 6:00–9:00 PM Position Overview The Studance Lab is seeking a confident, reliable, and structured Dance Instructor to teach beginner teen Ballet and Jazz/Contemporary Jazz classes. This role is ideal for an instructor who enjoys working with teens, can maintain clear classroom expectations, and creates a positive learning environment that balances encouragement with accountability. This is an immediate opening for consistent Monday evening classes. Classes & Schedule Beginner Teen Ballet Beginner Teen Jazz / Contemporary Jazz Mondays, 6:00–9:00 PM Responsibilities Teach engaging, age-appropriate Ballet and Jazz classes for beginner teen dancers Maintain strong classroom structure, etiquette, and focus Clearly communicate expectations and corrections to teen students Enforce studio policies related to dress code, behavior, and safety Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to teach each class Communicate professionally with studio leadership and staff Support studio events as needed (recitals, showcases, trainings) Required Qualifications Experience teaching dance to teens or adolescents Strong classroom management skills Comfortable correcting and leading teen dancers Reliable, punctual, and consistent Willingness to follow studio curriculum and expectations Ability to receive and apply feedback Preferred Qualifications Formal training in Ballet and Jazz/Contemporary Studio teaching experience CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Consistent weekly schedule Clear expectations and leadership support Positive, professional studio culture Opportunity for additional classes in the future How to Apply Please submit: Resume or brief summary of teaching experience Styles you are comfortable teaching Confirmation of Monday evening availability Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview and teaching audition.
