SummaryYou will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ASSISTANT in the EXERCISE SUPPORT DIVISION of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.Duties Help You will be responsible for interpreting, applying, and enforcing all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, directives, and Combat Center Orders pertaining to and governing hazardous materials and other pertinent environmental affairs.You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to all Exercise Support Division (ESD) Branches on techniques for assuring compliance with environmental standards.You will be responsible for heading the Safety Committee, which incldues managing and issuing all consumable-type personal protective equipment (PPE) to personnel.You will be responsible for receiving and compiling all accident reports and ensure reports are forwarded to Base Safety.You will be responsible for providing technical assistance for assuring compliance with environmental standardsRequirements Help Conditions of employmentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and directives; applying inspection techniques and processes; identifying environmental and safety hazards.GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
