Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist

Established in 2017, the North Suburban Center for Anxiety specializes in using cognitive behavior therapy to treat individuals of all ages with anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, and depression. We are committed to providing research-supported and results-oriented treatment. We believe that how individuals think and behave directly affect how they feel. Therefore, we use a compassionate, collaborative, and direct approach to empower clients with the necessary skills to modify their irrational thoughts, confront their maladaptive fears, and decrease their overall anxiety. By the end of treatment, our goal is that clients have learned the essential tools to master their anxiety or OCD and are living a more fulfilling life.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesAbout you:Demonstrated training providing evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention, and Acceptance & Commitment TherapyStrong experience in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, and depression across the lifespanCommitment to ongoing learning and evidence-based practiceDesire to work at least one evening or one weekend day per weekDesire and eventual ability to build caseload up to 15-20 clients/week (part time) or 20-25 clients/week (full-time)Willingness to network, collaborate and build referral sourcesAbout the role:Provide evidence-based treatments (CBT, ERP, and ACT) for anxiety disorders, and OCD and related disorders for children, adolescents, and adultsConduct initial, comprehensive assessment that evaluates a client's history, functioning, presenting concerns, and treatment goalsCollaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plan that is tailored to meet their needs Communicate regularly with families, schools, and other clinical providers to provide consistency of care and to help maintain treatment gainsWork as an integral member of a growing team to enhance the mission of our practiceContribute to monthly blog posts and assist with social media, as needed Qualifications:Education and TrainingMaster’s or Doctoral level degree and licensed mental health professional in one of the following areas: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family TherapyRecent graduates with relevant training will be considered if they have:Experience engaging with clients including children as young as 8 years old, adolescents, young adults and adultsExperience in evidence-based training (e.g. CBT, ERP, ACT)Experience working with anxiety disorders, OCD and related disordersCompensation & Benefits:Competitive pay - commission based pay structure; pay is based on number of clients seenFlexible schedule - part-time (15-20 hours) or full-time (20-25 hours), self-schedule clients Collaborative work environment - open communication and feedback Case consultation and supervision - weekly supervision with an LCPCSteady flow of referrals to maintain and increase clienteleHealth insurance for full time employeesEarned sick leave401K + MatchAdditional InformationAs we continue to grow our team, we anticipate significant room for growth within this roleAs we continue to grow our practice, we will continue to enhance our benefit offerings  Centrally located in the North Shore and easily accessible off of I-94 highway
