Location + Job Details Location: Hawarden Regional Healthcare Hospital Location: Hawarden, IA Brief Description: Hawarden is a licensed 25 bed CAH with 17 actual beds; They have a full radiology complement except nuclear medicine on site. HRH has three clinics, 2 provider based/RHC and 1 freestanding clinic. One clinic is attached to the hospital and the other two are within 12 miles from the hospital.  Community Size: 2600 in the Town of Hawarden, 1300 Akron and 800 Ireton plus the surrounding people that live in the county.   Local Industries/Economy: Agricultural is predominant, school systems, coil craft and hospital are the major employers  Local Attractions: OAK Grove Start Date: December 2, 2025 Credentialing: 60 days Schedule: 10, 24-hour shifts/month Call: 24/7 call coverage  Details: Critical Access Hospital ICU Beds: 0 Acute Beds: 10 Swing Beds: 7 SNF Beds:0 Average Daily Census: 4-6 medical floor Avg LOS: 1-3 days Acute/Swing 8-10 days Average Encounters per day: 6-8 ED  Rounding: Starts at 8 am with the team which includes social worker/case manager, pharmacist and nursing. Swing bed weekly rounding: Once per week to discuss transition of care for the swing bed patients.   Acuity: CHF, Cellulitis, COPD, Gastro Subspecialty Support:  Cardiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Disease via telemedicine EMR: Thrive software with Trubridge ER Volume: 2500-2700 Ancillary Services: Lab, Imaging Experience + Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience practicing autonomously  Ability to perform all procedures in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Setting Active IA License or the ability to obtain Compensation & Benefits Independent Contractor (1099) Malpractice Insurance Covered by RPG Call room available on site $204,000/year for 10 shifts per month
