Landfill Technician II

Applications are being accepted for Full-Time Employment as a Landfill Technician at the Iron County Landfill.Position requires performance of a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work relating to the daily operation of the Iron County Solid Waste Landfill, assigned equipment, and other department facilities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED, and three (3) years experience as a commercial driver and/or heavy equipment operator ***OR*** an equivalent combination of experience is required. **Applicants must possess a valid Utah Commercial Driver's License** ***upon*** **hire (Class B or Higher)**, have an acceptable driving record, and be able to perform heavy lifting up to 150 lbs. Must have the ability to meet and deal with the public in a positive manner and complete daily paperwork requirements. Knowledge of computer entry is preferred.Preference may be given to applicants with heavy equipment experience and the required CDL.**This job requires a Utah CDL drivers license.**Any pay above the minimum in the range MUST be supported by verifiable years of experience above the required 3 years.Please see job description for a more complete listing of duties and job knowledge.
