Our collaborative environment means team members work closely together and have significant impact on our growth and success.Position Overview The Arborist is a sales-focused role that combines hands-on arboricultural expertise with business development responsibilities to establish and grow ArborActive's presence in an assigned territory. As a key member of our growing team, this position requires both technical tree care proficiency and the ability to build client relationships while actively participating in service delivery. The role offers unique opportunities to shape our expansion and contribute directly to the company's development.ArborActive focuses on plant health care, this role will generally not be selling tree removals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead sales operations in new and established territoriesConduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate tree and landscape health while educating clients on arboriculture and plant health care.Develop property specific treatment plans in coordination with Arboriculture Division Manager.Generate detailed proposals based on personal field observations and technical requirementsStay current with field techniques and new treatment technologies to best care for treesCollaborate closely with the arboriculture team to understand pricing an production ratesHelp shape company culture and operational standards during our expansion phaseRequired QualificationsCurrent certification as one of the following: ISA Certified Arborist, MA Shade Tree and Ornamentals Commercial Certification, Massachusetts Certified Arborist, CT Arborist, Forester.Minimum 2 years of hands-on tree care experience, may include climbing and plant health care applications,Valid driver's license with clean driving recordDemonstrated understanding pruning and plant health care.Strong knowledge of tree and shrub species identification and biologyExcellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to clientsPreferred QualificationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to climb trees or work off a ladder to prune occasionallyCapable of operating power equipment and hand tools safely occasionallyAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionallyStamina to work full days in various weather conditions occasionallyValid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territoryCompensationThis is a commission based sales role.
