Sr. Electrical Engineer

Arnold Magnetics Corporation is looking for a capable and motivated Senior level Electrical Engineer. AMC’s desired candidate is a creative and critical thinker with aptitude not only in power supply design and general analog electronics, but in all facets of a power supply design project. This broader list includes requirement evaluation, customer communication, close collaboration with mechanical engineering, and quick thinking to meet technical challenges. AMC’s desired candidate is personable and respectful and is willing to seek to understand others in disagreement while also being firm when needed.The role of Senior Electrical Engineer at AMC means that the candidate will be the most responsible person for the technical and overall success of his or her project(s) and will often be tapped for aid on other technical challenges within the company. You will be a major driving force in the engineering team behind successful design and build of excellent power supplies and other products at AMC. The following are required:Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency (or the ability to learn) are required.Familiarity with Military Environmental, Power, and EMI standards (or commercial equivalents)Comfortability working in the engineering lab, soldering and testing circuits. Must be comfortable using benchtop power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other equipment appropriate for the job.Desire and ability to mentor less experienced engineersArnold Magnetics is a power supply design and manufacturing company supporting the United States Department of War by way of direct contracting as well as sub-contracting.
