We're a trusted heavy equipment dealership with deep roots in Western NY and we're looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Service team in Elma, NY.If you take pride in your work, know how to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently, and value being part of a strong team, this is the place for you.What You'll DoDiagnose and repair heavy company & customer construction equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, screening and crushing plantsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsRebuild and install engines, transmissions, pumps, and other componentsPerform preventative maintenance and ensure high-quality repairsMaintain accurate service records and communicate with the Service teamWhat We're Looking For7+ years of heavy equipment repair experience (diesel, hydraulics, electrical, transmissions) or completion of a trade school program. Dealership experience is a plusMilitary or field mechanic experience also consideredMust have own toolsValid driver's license and clean driving recordStrong troubleshooting skills and attention to detailOrganized, self-motivated, and team-orientedAbility to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematicsAble to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks dailyWelding and fabricating skills preferredEquipment You'll Work OnExcavators, wheel loaders, drill rigs, crushing plants, articulating trucks and more - including brands like KOBELCO, Hitachi, ASV, McLanahan, Anaconda and others.Work EnvironmentPrimarily shop-based, with occasional travel as neededExposure to outdoor conditions, moving machinery, and heavy equipmentFrequent standing, bending, kneeling, and use of hand/power toolsMust follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspaceWhy Join UsAt Baschmann Services, you'll be part of a team that values skill, integrity, and hard work.
