Technology Business Development Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Consultant to drive client acquisition and revenue growth within the technology recruitment space.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in recruitment or talent acquisition who is looking to transition into a pure business development / client-facing role, with minimal involvement in candidate delivery.
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is highly advantageous, but not essential.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
Identify, target, and acquire new clients across technology hiring and staffing services
Develop and execute strategic business development plans within the technology and Microsoft ecosystem
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hiring managers, HR leaders, and project heads
Drive the full BD lifecycle: lead generation → client meetings → proposal → negotiation → closure
Collaborate with internal recruitment/delivery teams to ensure successful fulfillment of client requirements
Track market trends across ERP, CRM, and Microsoft technologies (including D365 where relevant) and identify new opportunities
Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in technology recruitment, staffing, or talent solutions, with exposure to business development
Proven experience in client acquisition or account management within a recruitment or staffing environment
Strong understanding of the tech hiring landscape (e.g., ERP, CRM, cloud, Microsoft stack, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to generate leads, pitch services, and close deals
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Commercially driven with a strong focus on revenue generation
Preferred Background
Exposure to or experience hiring for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) roles
Recruiters looking to transition into a BD-focused career path
Experience working with IT services companies, staffing firms, or consulting organizations
Existing network within the technology or Microsoft ecosystem
