CT Tech Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,234 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 6/22/2026 About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 12 months Shift: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred License: Registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred Certifications: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card required Must-Have: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to perform and teach CT exams for satisfactory diagnostic images - Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations Description: Following established protocol and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, CT technologists will produce computerized tomography scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered by the physician. Technologists will assist the radiologists on procedures as needed and supervise student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. Encourages and maintains good customer relations. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures, utilizing age-appropriate care. Efficiently use time to accomplish patient care assignments while meeting work quality, quantity, and timeliness expectations. Assist in the clinical education of student technologists. Ensure efficient utilization of imaging equipment with attention to minimizing repeat examinations. Instruct and prepare patients regarding imaging procedures and assist in obtaining informed consent as needed. Ensure patients understand the procedure and communicate effectively with family members regarding discharge instructions. Ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system. Communicate with radiologists regarding procedures and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Practice good radiation protection and follow established guidelines. Maintain current licensure requirements and complete annual mandatory in-services. Support and promote department efforts in meeting established projects and goals. Maintain confidentiality of medical and sensitive information. Work collaboratively with other team members and assist where needed. Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and initiative toward improving departmental operations. Work Demands/Environment: Frequent standing and walking. Frequent lifting and moving of patients. Intermittent lifting, moving, or carrying up to 50 lbs. Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue, as well as possible exposure to infectious materials. Frequent exposure to risk of radiation and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals. May require work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours, including call shifts and weekends/holidays based on departmental needs.
