This role is integral to our operations, requiring a strong physical presence and the ability to handle substantial weight with ease. This position involves the continuous handling of concrete blocks, each weighing an average of 50 lbs., demanding both strength and endurance. Job Responsibilities WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DOAs a Technician Block Production at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include: Safety ComplianceUphold and advocate for a safe and compliant working environment. Communication & InstructionCommunicate effectively, following verbal and written instructions to ensure operational efficiency. Physical StaminaMaintain stamina and focus while standing for extended periods. Climbing & NavigationNavigate and climb conveyors and vertical ladders, demonstrating mechanical aptitude. Role AdaptabilityLearn and adapt to various operational roles including operator, cuber, and forklift duties. Machinery OperationOperate heavy machinery such as wheeled loaders and forklifts with proficiency. Additional ResponsibilitiesExecute additional responsibilities as directed by management. Physical TasksPerform various physical tasks including bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping, and shoveling. Tool & Equipment UseUtilize tools and equipment with dexterity and precision. Workplace SafetyAdhering to all workplace safety protocols and guidelines. Qualifications WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORTo succeed in this role, you should bring: Educational and Licensing RequirementsHigh School Diploma. ExperiencePrior experience with forklift operation is highly desirable. SkillsA background in electrical work, welding, and fabrication is advantageous.
