Our comprehensive customer services span from estimates, design, fabrication, installation, all the way to close-out.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead our service division. This role is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, managing field technicians, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving profitability within the service department. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep HVAC/mechanical knowledge, and a hands-on approach to operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee day-to-day service department operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and workflow coordinationEnsure efficient utilization of technicians and resourcesMonitor job progress, timelines, and service qualityTeam LeadershipManage, mentor, and develop a team of service technicians and support staffConduct performance evaluations, training, and coachingFoster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvementTeam development and leadershipCustomer RelationsServe as the primary point of contact for key service clientsResolve escalated service issues promptly and professionallyMaintain strong client relationships to drive repeat businessFinancial OversightManage departmental budgets, forecasting, and P&L performanceReview job costing, margins, and billing accuracyIdentify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiencyTechnical OversightProvide guidance on HVAC, piping, and ductwork service challengesEnsure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulationsSupport troubleshooting and complex service diagnosticsProcess ImprovementImplement and refine service processes, systems, and KPIsDrive adoption of service management software and reporting toolsContinuously improve response times and service deliveryQualifications5+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical service operations2+ years in a leadership or supervisory roleStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and ductworkProven ability to manage teams and service operations effectivelyExcellent communication and customer service skillsExperience with scheduling, dispatching, and job costingPreferredBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldExperience in a mid-sized mechanical contractor or engineering firmFamiliarity with service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, etc.)Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, P&L)Ability to meet sensitive timelinesStrong knowledge of MS Office suite including MS Excel softwareWe are a drug free work place, must be able to pass pre and random drug testsWhy Mechanical Solutions, Inc.Mechanical Solutions is committed to an inclusive and safe work environment that makes people feel connected and reach their full potential.
