Competitive 401k retirement plan, and amenities aimed at creating a solid work/life balance.Summary Of PositionThe prevention specialist/CHW is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the NM State Office of Substance Abuse & Prevention (OSAP) grant, as well as other Tribal prevention grants. This role leads the planning, development, and implementation of alcohol and substance abuse prevention with a specialized focus on mental health promotion and suicide prevention. As a CHW, the incumbent serves as a trusted liaison between health services and the community to facilitate access and improve the cultural competence of service delivery.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or related field with at least (1) year of experience in prevention outreach; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Direct experience in community health work, mental health advocacy, or suicide prevention is required for this role.Must be 21 years or olderMust be able to satisfactorily pass a background check such as FBI, State, Tribal, MVR and drug/alcohol testing.Fluent in the Keres language and previous Tribal Government experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills to focus efforts on meeting Santo Domingo Pueblo goals.Extended working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
