2nd Shift Production Supervisor
As a Production Supervisor at MARSHALLTOWN, you will be responsible for managing production operations through proper employee training, efficient planning, staging a work-to-production schedule, and effective assignment of work ensuring production orders are completed within our quality specifications and on time.
The Production Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and supervision of hourly production employees on 2nd shift. The Production Supervisor contributes through value-added activities in quality improvement, efficiency enhancement, and process improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintaining a safe environment for all employees and ensuring everyone is working safely
Directing employees to complete production orders to the schedule in a timely and quality manner
Ensuring employees are properly trained and working safely
Staging production to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective processing of orders
Identifying ways to improve work methods and implementing those changes
Ensuring work areas are well-organized, tools and fixtures are working properly, and areas are free of safety hazards
Coaching and providing employees with regular feedback and completing quarterly evaluations on a timely basis
Understanding and applying company policies consistently
Performing quality assurance checks throughout the department
Other duties and project work as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
Two years demonstrated supervisory, leadership, training, and coaching experience, required.
Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities with frequent interruptions.
Successful completion of a forklift driving test and the material handler written exam, provided.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
Experience with MRP systems.

Work environment includes noise >85db as well as frequent exposure to hot and cold temperatures in the manufacturing facility
Requires ability to read, write, calculate, and reason
