This position offers the opportunity to work directly on high-impact, classified acquisition programs supporting senior leadership across the Department of the Air Force and U.S. Space Force. Located at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM, the area offers a high quality of life with year-round sunshine, outdoor recreation, cultural experiences, and unique events such as the International Balloon Fiesta. Position Summary The Chief of Staff serves as a key leader within SpRCO, providing oversight and direction across Special Access Program (SAP) space-based acquisition efforts. This role directly supports senior leaders including SECAF, USSF CSO, SAF/SQ, and other headquarters. Key responsibilities include: Leading and supervising personnel (25% supervisory duties) Setting priorities, managing schedules, and overseeing mission execution Communicating mission objectives, program updates, and key milestones Advising leadership on policy impacts and implementation strategies Coordinating across Space Force, DoW, federal agencies, and Congress Acting on behalf of the Director, SpRCO, as required Desired Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience briefing senior leadership Ability to operate in high-visibility, high-tempo environments Basic Requirements Positive education requirement (transcripts required) Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance Willingness to undergo drug testing and potential polygraph Flexibility to work irregular hours, as needed Additional Notes If your current salary exceeds the stated range but falls within the NH-04 band, your salary will not be reduced if selected.
