Database Administrator

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of our databases. Responsibilities: DBA, working with App teams, some development, some ops support, scripting, administrative work - Design and implement database architectures to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity. - Manage and maintain databases using MySQL, ensuring data security and compliance with organizational standards. - Conduct performance tuning to optimize database performance and reduce downtime. - Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity. - Collaborate with the development team to design and implement database schema changes. - Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. - Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices. - Create and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries and ERDs. - Work closely with other IT teams to ensure data consistency and integrity across the organization. Skills: - Proficiency in database administration, including database design and performance tuning. - Experience with MySQL and other relational databases. - Strong knowledge of scripting languages, including shell scripting. - Familiarity with database design and scripting techniques. - Ability to vaticinate database issues and implement solutions. - Experience with database backup and recovery procedures. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong analytical and technical skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
