Principal Full Stack UI/UX Developer (Data Analysis)

SUMMARY: Founded in 2021 by a team of serial entrepreneurs and winners of two DARPA Grand Challenges (Spectrum and Spectrum Collaboration), Xtremis, LLC (Xtremis) develops distributed spectrum monitoring technologies that enable the autonomous optimization of wireless networks to enhance spectrum efficiency. As the principal UI/UX engineer supporting a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists, candidate will contribute to the design and development of current and future products related to visualization and exploitation of Radio Frequency (RF) sensor data. Your key responsibility includes providing state of the art usability experience for a physics-based RF modeling application. Candidate will work closely with engineers and scientists, architects, product owners, product managers, executives, and other groups throughout the development process. Candidate will be responsible for development of innovative, full-stack UI/UX and visualization applications for data analysis. The UI/UX will have the ability to support efficient ingest, visualization, fusion, and navigation of large data sets derived from distributed RF sensors, including rendering of spectrograms covering large frequency ranges, FFT visualizations of signals of interest, geospatial visualizations (e.g. heat mapping), and related visualizations that support detailed interrogation of raw I/Q data. Qualified candidates will have experience or interest in the full System Design Lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance of systems deployed within advanced computing environments or onto tactical mission platforms. Candidates should be motivated to solve problems independently and in small multi-disciplinary teams striving to achieve specific goals in mission-relevant timelines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: · Design, prototype, and develop advanced UI/UX applications and associated visualizations using the latest technologies · Lead customer discovery related to UI/UX and visualization development, including development of user roles and wireframes · Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and researchers to design data architectures that support desired UI/UX functionality · Support cross team information exchanges · Provide technical leadership and be part of the implementation team · Provide technical support for proposals and business development opportunities · Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of UI/UX engineers QUALIFICATIONS: · Experience with PHYSICS-BASED MODELING and VISUALIZATION (and visualization environments like MATLAB and GRAFANA) · Expert understanding of UX and UI design and development with an emphasis on maximizing usability for non-expert users · 5+ years of experience with JAVA DEVELOPMENT of RESTFUL and REALTIME WEB SERVICES · 5+ years of hands-on knowledge and experience with web/mobile development, including experience with HTML5/JAVASCRIPT/CSS, JQUERY MOBILE, BOOTSTRAP, frameworks like ANGULAR, KNOCKOUT, BACKBONE · 5+ YEARS of OBJECT-ORIENTED PROGRAMMING, CLIENT-SIDE TECHNOLOGIES, design patterns like MVVM, frameworks like ANGULAR, KNOCKOUT, BACKBONE · 3+ years of experience in building HIGH-VOLUME, SCALABLE, MULTI-TIERED SYSTEMS · 4+ years OF experience with SCRUM/AGILE DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES · 5-7 YEARS SOFTWARE DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT experience · Understanding of SERVICE ORIENTED APPLICATIONS and ARCHITECTURES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS: · U.S. Citizenship required · Ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance · MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field · 7+ years of related experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $155,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Fayetteville, AR: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required) Application Question(s): Are you a US citizen?
