Position Summary
Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support water and wastewater construction projects by assisting field operations, project controls, and project management teams. This position is responsible for helping ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and schedules. The Field Engineer will work closely with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to support the successful execution of treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, and related infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
Assist project teams with daily field operations and coordination activities on water and wastewater construction projects
Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with quantity tracking and reporting
Support the preparation and maintenance of project budgets, schedules, and cost reporting
Coordinate and review submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
Participate in daily and weekly safety meetings and support implementation of project safety programs
Assist with procurement and scheduling of subcontractors, materials, and equipment
Support project engineers and superintendents in developing work plans and tracking project progress
Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, specifications, daily reports, and field documentation
Assist with change order pricing, tracking, and documentation
Participate in project closeout activities, including punch list coordination and As-Built drawing preparation
Perform field inspections and jobsite walks to verify work progress and quality
Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, inspectors, and internal project teams
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success
What We’re Looking For
1-3 years of construction experience, preferably in heavy civil, water, or wastewater projects
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
Understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure construction, including treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utilities preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Strong prioritization and time management abilities; detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team
Must be capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company vehicle to work sites, offices, and other required locations
Must be able to walk on uneven terrain and work in active construction environments
