Process Operator III - Paint Operator
Job DescriptionThe Process Operator III troubleshoots process problems during production. They also maintain production equipment and review data to ensure product quality.Responsibilities Apply high-quality paint finishes to aerospace components using spray equipment in accordance with MIL-SPEC and internal quality standards. Mix, prepare, and apply polyurethane paints, epoxy coatings, and primers following established procedures. Inspect surfaces and completed parts to ensure proper coverage, finish quality, and compliance with customer and government specifications. Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, process sheets, and production documentation. Maintain spray equipment, paint booths, and mixing areas to ensure safe, clean, and efficient operations. Accurately record materials used, production activities, and completed processes in accordance with documentation requirements. Follow all safety, environmental, and quality control procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Qualifications Experience applying industrial coatings in a manufacturing environment, preferably to MIL-SPEC standards. Working knowledge of polyurethane paints, epoxy coatings, primers, and spray application techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and process documentation. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Understanding of safety procedures related to paint application, hazardous materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
