Truck Driver Job Description Job Overview: Join our team as a Truck Driver and play a vital role in our transportation operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods. As a Truck Driver, you will be tasked with transporting various types of cargo using a Dry Van across designated routes. This position offers opportunities for regional lane driving with a focus on store delivery responsibilities. Driver will hand unload the trailer at several stops using gravity rollers. Drivers will run 950 miles a week and be home on the weekends. Responsibilities: - Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to specified locations. - Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify the vehicle's safety and functionality. - Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules. - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any transportation-related incidents. - Adhere strictly to company transportation policies and procedures to uphold regulatory compliance. Qualifications: - Must hold a valid CDL Class A license. - Demonstrated experience in commercial driving, including proficiency in handling various types of cargo -Must have at least 3 months of tractor trailer experience - Strong attention to detail concerning safety protocols to ensure accident-free operations.
