We are looking for passionate instructors to teach MUS 105 Music Appreciation, a core transfer course designed to introduce students to the elements, history, and cultural significance of music.As an adjunct, you will have the opportunity to engage a diverse student body through in-person, online, or hybrid formats, depending on departmental needs and your availability.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in Music Appreciation (MUS 105), ensuring the course meets transfer-level standards.Course Management: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress via the college's Learning Management System (LMS).Student Engagement: Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical listening and appreciation for various musical genres and eras.Flexibility: Teach at various campus locations (Pendleton, Anderson, Easley, or Oconee) or online as scheduled.To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following academic criteria:Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in any music discipline; ORMaster's Degree (in any field) with a minimum of 18 graduate-level semester hours in music or music-related disciplines.Prior experience teaching at the post-secondary (college) level.Experience with online instruction and digital course shells (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).A background in a wide range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary and world music.Tri-County Technical College is a public, two-year community and technical college serving Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties in South Carolina.Tri-County Technical College is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans are encouraged to apply (EOE/AA/M/F/D/V).It is the policy of Tri-County Technical College in accordance with applicable laws to recruit, hire, train, and promote people throughout all college levels without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
